SCABIOSA - BLACK KNIGHT

One of my most favorite ways to add a little whimsy and movement to a bouquet is with Scabiosa.  The blooms are petite, yet strong and grow on an equally strong and tall stem.  Add this deep burgundy, almost black variety to your cutting garden for a little a pop of dramatic color. 

Cut and come again variety, requires full sun.

Transplant Recommended: Start your seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost date. Barely cover, needs light to germinate. Harden off and transplant outside after the last frost

Direct Sow: After your last frost date, 1/4 in.

Germination: 10-12 days

Spacing: 12”

Height: 24” - 36”

Harvest: When flowers are almost open.
