ABOUT THE FARM
we believe flowers should feel like home
....................
Silver Fox Lane is a specialty cut flower farm located in Toddville, Iowa, a small community just outside of Cedar Rapids. Our farm is situated in the heart of 20 acres of timber, down a long and windy lane, Silver Fox Lane. Our mission is to help flower lovers and growers alike discover happiness in slow living and small rituals like arranging flowers throughout your home, planting seeds in your own backyard, or gifting flowers to someone you love.
Here at the farm, we grow flowers in step with the seasons, from June to October. Tulips in Spring (2027), Peonies in June (2028), Sunflowers in the Summer, Dahlias in the Fall and many many more varieties in between. We believe their brief presence is what makes them so special, inviting us to slow down and enjoy whatās blooming right now.
We are a chemical and pesticide free operation. Because our farm is located at our home, we are not open to the public. But we do offer private events and photo sessions throughout the growing season. Be sure to follow along on Instagram, Facebook and our Blog for the most up-to-date information.
THE FACE BEHIND THE FLOWERS
I'm Darcy, a photographer and stationery designer turned specialty cut flower farmer. A creative at heart, a renovation junky (currently fixing up our forever home) who loves to putter around the house arranging and rearranging, an empty nester who's now filling her days with growing flowers instead of raising babies.
I've always found myself to be happiest when connected to nature. A place to quiet the noise and unwind. My love of flowers started nearly 30 years ago with the purchase of my first home. In the midst of raising a family and growing a business, the garden was an escape of sorts. There, time didn't seem to exist, it still doesn't.
Silver Fox Lane has been a quiet dream, germinating since purchasing our property in 2022. We've grown quietly the past few years, but in 2026 we are making the leap to dive deep into growing varieties we've trialed and grown in love with over the past few years, and we can't wait to share them with you!
