Here at the farm, our success starts with our soil.  Before any seeds are sown or tubers planted, we routinely test our soil so we know exactly what it needs. Plants are just like us, they need good nutrition to help them live a long, healthy life during the growing season.

If you've ever bought flowers at the grocery store, it's highly likely they were imported.  Over 80% of flowers in the United States are.  Those flowers are already days old before you buy them, have been without hydration, cutting their vase in half by the time you take them home.  We cut our flowers the day before they arrive to you right at the perfect stage.  We also include tips for maintaining your flowers so you can get maximum enjoyment from your blooms.

The proof is undeniable.  The photo to the right illustrates two stems of lisanthus.  The stem on the left is an average lisianthus import. The stem on the right is what I grew.  Notice the thickness of the stem on the right and the fullness and bloom count.  Which one would you prefer?

Not only can we grow them better, but we also offer many sought after varieties that you just can't find at the grocery store or florist.  And because our season it short here in Iowa, that makes them all the more special.
